Kids Birthday card

Hello friends

I am on a Cardmaking spree this year , as I look back I have pleasantly made many cards this season. Last week when I found I was short of cards for kids and especially for Boys Birthdays I decided to make a few and keep them ready {you never know when you need it }!

Kids Birthdays are very colourful and making colourful cards for such events bring out the kid in me.Here are a two Birthday cards I have made using embossing folders,  paper scraps and stickers mainly keeping my colour selection to Primary colours .

Both the cards are based on cupcake theme. These are easy and quick makes as well put to use all the snippet scraps you tend to save :P. I am a proud Scrap cardmaker :)

Christmas cards sets with Heat embossing techniques

Hello everyone,

Most of you will know that Christmas Cards are my utmost favourite cards to make so I couldn't resist making soo many

I have ventured out and have done some heat embossing on the cards {actually gave up on my laziness :P}

I have kept it pretty simple and elegant to go with the christmassy theme and totally happy with what I have created :)

The christmas tree and sentiment stamp set is from Creative Stamping Issue 48 named AWAY IN A MANGER
The ornament stamps are from Hampton Art Christmas - Tree Trimming.

These colours I choose to make cards remind me of my trip to the Nutcracker Christmas Shop, Stratford-Upon-Avon .

Glimpses of the store during our visit this summer and yes in this place you can feel christmas all through the year !

Birthday card for a Boy with primary colours !

Hello Friends ,
This card was a Quick make for a Birthday my son got invited !

It was a Boys Birthday party and my son instructed it be made without any Pink and purples. Most of the time the cards I make are so girly that my son rejects them upright and makes cards on his own ! But this day being busy at school he had to rush to the party with moms creation and I didn't  want him to feel bad with a girly creation so I decided to go with primary colours :)

For this card I have used papers from DCWV the Celebration Stack which is perfect for Birthday creations . I have used a die cut in blue to highlight the foil coloured sticker cake and have added have added  the happy birthday sentiment.

My son loved it at the first glance and it made it to the birthday boy along with the Gift !!

Let your Light shine - children's day cards

Hello Friends ,

Children's Day is celebrated on 14 November, on the birthday of the first Prime Minister of independent India, who was fondly called Chacha Nehru (Uncle Nehru) or Chachaji (Uncle), and who emphasized the importance of giving love and affection to children, whom he saw as the bright future of India.  To give him tribute, India celebrates this festival on 14 November, the day of his birthday.

Today Im sharing cards I made and I am sending out for the children's day drive an initiative by the group Cards Foracause wherein cards made by kids are sent out for their contemporaries with lesser worldly privileges. Charity and Compassion needs to be developed at a young age and this is an opportunity for the same. Though my son put together a few cards I added some to make sure we contribute a good number .

Children’s day (also known as Bal Diwas) in India is celebrated every year on 14th of November to increase the awareness of people towards the rights, care and education of children. Children are the key of success and development of the country as they would lead their country in different and new technological way. They are adorable and shine same like the precious pearls and keeping all this in mind I created these cards .

Childrens day cards with Jr

Hello Friends ,

Today Im sharing cards made by my son for the children's day card drive an initiative by the group Cards Foracause wherein cards made by kids are sent out for their contemporaries with lesser worldly privileges. It is always a good idea to teach your child the Joy of giving and you can introduce this to them only by doing is what I believe in .

My experience has taught me that introducing children to the art of giving can be a rewarding experience which teaches them some very important life lessons. It also boosts our children’s self-esteem when they understand that they can make a difference, no matter how small, in someone else’s life. A simple way to reinforce the art of giving and gratitude in our homes is to make charity a family activity.

Here are a few cards which my son completed with very little help from me .

He has tried stamping , die cutting , colouring , stickers and ephemeras from my stash to complete these lovely cards !

Im thrilled that my son was as excited as me when he was making it and as well putting it all together! This has bonded us more on cardmaking this year  !!

Altered Book cover

Hello Friends ,

I have been keeping up with my crafting goals and creating with all that I have and I am on track with 52 weeks 52 crafts . To keep myself accountable I have been blogging regularly and all that I make is being sent out to friends and family .

Today I am sharing the altered note book covers that went along the happy mails last month .

  • I have covered a spiral note book with pattern papers and washi tap to create the base and further went on to design them.
  • I enjoyed practicing my hand lettering on the cover for the sentiments part.
  •  I have coloured the chipboards with Alcohol ink sprays.
  • The flowers and butterflies are from itsy bitsy's various flower collections .
These were quick to put together and easy to make and just made perfect gifts for my Happy Mail . Here are the cards that went along these gifts.

I am glad that I am crafting and blogging more ! Hope to keep up the momentum...

Diwali 2017 Mini album

Hello Friends

This Diwali was special with my little cousin spending few days with us after a gap of 6 years .
To make that event memorable I decided to make an album before he left so he could treasure this for life !

This mini album is sized 8x8  with 2 hardbound cover and 5 pages ie 10 sheets and bound with 2 rings . For this album I have used Azealian Paper Pack from  Papericious paper pack I won in a Giveaway . I totally love the variety of papers and textures in the paper pack and it went perfectly well with the pictures of the boys theme !

I made sure all the important pictures that we needed in the album were planned and printed .

The series in which the pictures needed to be placed and their coordination with the papers were decided by my cousin.

We used clear stickers for the page Titles and have embellished with lovely stickers .

Here I have a special flip fold to hold more pictures and journal spaces ! This is one of my favourite and used in all my albums currently . You can read the tutorial for the fold here .

I have kept the album pretty simple , easy and user friendly !

I have embellished the album with various stickers and ephemeras I have been hoarding in my stash . For the cover page I have used chipboard elements and ribbon to complete the look .

I am glad I did this project with him and he could carry it along with him , as he learnt a new art !!
We enjoyed the process of making this album and making new memories  :)

Princess and the Dragon Layout with Itsy Bitsy stamps

Hello Friends ,

As a Scrapbooker and Stamp enthusiastic I have always loved stamp sets that go hand in hand with the themes for my scrapbook albums.  Recently  Itsy Bitsy launched a few more designs in their Clear stamps collection which I am using  for todays creation.

This stamp set called The Princess and the Dragon.
I am a big fan of such lovely stamp sets and almost all my girl theme creations are based on such princesses, so this one clicked with me !

  • For this creation I have stamped the images of the princess , unicorn , fort and the Dragon .
  • I have coloured them all with watercolours .
  • The paper I have used here is Textured White Cardstock. This superior quality white card stock is perfect as a base for all your paper crafting, card making, scrapbooking, school and other DIY projects.
  • I have fussy cut them all and layered it on the layout with double sided tape to give some dimension and create interest.
